This amp was made the day before mine! This is the same model as mine, also. This one is S/N 041801 and mine is 041901. The S/N on WW amps are the day of manufacture and he usually does about one a day.

Someone grab it.

(RIC content): RIC basses sound great through these.

Jeff, not real familiar with this amp. How did you "discover" this baby?

Pricey, is this a good price for this model?

These are great amps. The price is fair given that they are well over $2000.00 these days with an average wait time of a year to get a new one. I first saw one at a musical production where the bassist was using it. There is a very large number of major artists using these such as John Patitucci, Chick Corea, Jeffrey Scott, Victor Wooten, etc. The price of admission gets you an amp that puts out 650 watts rms into 4 Ohms and it only weights 7 lbs.! You will wonder why you have been dragging that boat anchor of an SVT around all those years. They run cool, no fan required to keep the heatsink from getting hot, have two identical independent channels with good flexible EQ and each channel has it's own parallel effects loop, plus a master line out that is switchable pre or post EQ. If you get this it will be the last amp you will need to buy. Highly recommended!!!

Another nice thing about these amps is they can be hand carried or rack mounted easily.

Thanks Jeff, sounds like a nice piece. You must have seen my SVT limp to know I own one. These days I fly a Trace rig most of the time.

My concern is the ability of these light modern amps to deliver power in a high volume setting. Years ago I experimented with a very light, high power rated amp, the name escapes me. It had great tone but seemed to get lost during the 2am, last song, better make em dance, full frontal assault firefight.

At a 650 watt rating, she sounds capable, but is there a tube/S.S issue here?

These are nothing like whatever amp you tried in the past. WW amps are solid state, but I am sure you will be very pleased with the tone, and are built for reliability, plus Walter provides excellent customer service and is a nice chap to boot.

Hi Jeff, I was minding my own business when that doggone Andy put his beautiful Cii up for sale over in the #%%^$% Rickenbackers for sale.

Great guy to deal with and I'm tickled pink to have found a real nice bass. I should see her by Wednesday hopefully.
