Anybody know exactly when they started? Or what the corresponding dates were for, say ,the first 5 or 10? Mine's #207, and it was born on August 21st, 1991 according to the certificate. This auction one appears to be May of '91. And has it really been 6 years since they closed the run? My time flies!

I'm curious about a refin a well. I've entertained the idea several times but have been dissuaded by perceived cost and those who point out it devalues the instrument. Mine has significant discolouration, particularly where my right forearm rested. Great bass in every other way.

Hi Chuck, I've had two of them and both seemed to dissolve as I watched. Short of hiding them under the bed, I'm not sure they can be stopped.
Hello Fran, bought any nice basses lately? Interesting question as to the build schedule. Mine is # 30 (thanks Marc), birth date of 4-8-91. It appears the first couple hundred at least, went out pretty close.

I'm just happy to be here.

Hey Gary! Nothing new here today, but it's still early! Forgot you had #30. The very early ones are interesting to me. As I posted earlier, I'd love to know about the first coupla dozen. Thought I heard Squire got number one, or maybe a prototype.

Mine was born on April 20th, 1995. She is #560. The wife placed the order in December of 1994 if I remember correctly.
She IS a case queen and there isn't ANY discoloration that I can see. Some of them checked REALLY BAD, was that the early ones?
Anyone know if the CS was the LONGEST run artist series? What was it, 9 years? That being the case, mine is almost right in the middle of the run.
