Binding ? lovely as it is.. has gone to pot

Post by herbsman »

Hello.. i have just noticed that the first 3 inches of binding on my 4003 bass is peeling off near the straplock on the body (not the horn end).. i wouldn't mind so much but the bass is only a year old ? anyone had similar problems and what would be a suitable glue to stick it back on with that I could obtain here in the uk... also i have noticed there is a gap of 3mm from where the binding should have started to where it actualy starts .. what could i use to fill this gap.. ?

I've only ever seen this on one old 70's ric that was refinished ....

that should be under warranty or something ...

If it's a year old and you sent in the warranty card... which brings to mind a question. How are warranty repairs handled in places other than the US and/or Canada?

Keep in mind that RIC warranties start as soon as the instrument leaves the factory; not when it's purchased.
