360 Jack Problem
I am having a strange problem with my 360-12. When I plug into the standard output jack, I can't hear the output of the bridge pick-up. I fiddle with the cable, near the guitar input jack, and the bridge pick-up kicks back in. Why would a bad connection cause one of the pick-ups to drop out ? I'm so confused ...

If you ever remove and reinstall the jacks you'll notice that the fit of the normal one in it's hole in the body can be very tight. It also has more electronic "stuff" hanging off of one side of the plug hole than it does on the other side. If for some reason it got turned slightly, it's possible that part of it is up against the wood and this is preventing the jack and it's switching assembly from working properly. Rather than needing to replace the jack, you may just need to spin in in it's mounting hole a bit so that it's clear of the wood.
If you disassemble enough Rics, sooner or later you're going to run into a situation where you've put one back together and suddenly the jack doesn't work. You can remove the plate, slide the jacks out, plug in and it works just fine. The trick is to get it all put back together without the wood pinching the jack - and the "sweet spot" where the jack needs to be aligned for this to happen is often not very big.
One of the common Arnquist mods when he's doing a Ric is to enlarge the hole around that jack on the inside of the control cavity to provide more room for the jack and prevent this problem. Here are some before and after photos that he sent me.
