The Forum CD Project is ON!

This is a reiteration of the other thread. Here are the particulars:
Requirements:
1. A maximum of two songs (to offer a choice), are to be submitted on CD format, with .wav files (data file) preferred.
2. Songs must be original compositions for this first album; steer clear of cover songs.
3. The songs should be played primarily by Rickenbacker instruments; for a song with "just bass" as a Rickenbacker, a song should be chosen that features the bass, as in a bass solo, or a prominent bass line.
4. The songs should contain no vulgar language, or potentially offensive content within the lyrics.
5. Songs should be of a fairly decent standard of recording, (not too much hiss - no calling up the stairs that dinner's ready, etc.!) but not necessarily professionaly produced - recorded in the bedroom (or garage, basement ...!) is fine.
6. "Liner Notes" should be attached explaining instruments (and amps/mics) used & basic recording setup, as well as names of performers.
Submission:
Submit songs on CD to either Tony (who is located in the UK) or Gary (who is located in the USA) by standard post. Please send an e-mail to the mailbox in our profiles and we will reply with the shipping address.
Submissions should be received no later than August 5th, 2006, to be considered. Anything received after this time may be considered for a second volume, if there is one, or returned to sender, if that is agreed on.
Post-Submission:
After submission, Tony will do the following processing of the recording: semi-master the CD, trying to balance levels; apply EQ/enhancement/width etc.; and produce a quantity of CDR's. Tony will also produce artwork, which Peter will approve (we will also check with John Hall) & print it to a decent standard via computer.
Selling Price:
Tony has stated that the CDs will sell for what they cost him, basicaly, the item cost plus some ink & paper costs.
One other thing to note: my e-mail access will be limited from around July 12th to the 20th, so during that time please e-mail Tony and he will send you my mailing address.
