Rickenbacker Japanese video

Post by 8mileshigh »

I just finished watching the Rickenbacker Japanese video. I really enjoyed it although it was a little short. I had to laugh when Roger McGuinn was describing what he liked about Rickenbackers. He was like an excitable schoolboy (amazing after all those years of playing Rics). He really liked the TRC - very arty, the shape of the body, the thin neck, the checkered binding, the scratchplate and controls. The stripe up the back of the neck, the way it feels, the thin neck, the look of the pick ups, the R tailpeice, the sound and...........oh.....the fact that the Beatles played them! Safe to say.......I think he likes them a lot Image It was great to see his enthusiasm. A nice history of the company from JH and shots of the factory. Just what I needed after a hard day at work!
