Fender Blues Jr same circuit as Vox AC-15?

Post by squirebass »

Toneman,
I had a friend of mine tell me the other day that the Fender Blues Jr. has the same circuit or is the same inside as a Vox AC-15, is that true? If so, what speaker would you recommend putting into the Blues Jr. to get more Vox vibe? Greenbacks? Blues?
Thanks for your help!

Gosh, I would think that the folks over at Voxtalks would have mentioned this if it were true. I'd love to hear Don's thoughts on this as well!

AC-15 circuit... NO! not really. Somewhat close but not that close. Maybe more so in the output section but preamp's typical Fender. That output tranny sucks though.

I thought it sounded too good to be true.
