I've been trying to find a 4003s. Anybody know where i can find a good used one. I think they look a little nicer than the 4003.

Good luck, man. I've been trying to find one as well. They are certainly in short supply.

I had one of these about 12 years ago when I was in college. I sold it to pay for food and I'm still kicking myself, at least until today (finally found a brand new '99 4003 JG in a local shop this morning. I ran so fast to the bank I wore holes in my shoes).

If I recall, I think it had the split pickguard and the trussrod adjust at the butt end of the neck.

It was an unusual looking rick. Plus, it had a more velvety, muted tone compared to my older 4001 (also sold). My new 4003 sounds a lot like my old s.
