Truss rod system on 4001 bass

Post by StupidClay »

hi all.

i'm trying to eliminate some of the "sloppy" string sound from my 4001 bass. i'm guessing this is because rick basses are shorter in length compared to, say, fenders?....anyway, could anyone quickly walk me through adjusting the truss rods on a 4001? if it's already been posted somewhere on this site, maybe you could just lead me to that. thanks!
-clay.

p.s.- my local guitar pro suggested a higher gauge string to build more tension/firmness. i'm using a 100 on the bass string and he suggested 107. is this wrong?

Clay: Mark's previous post Truss Roads and How Not To Adjust Them might be helpful before you get his input.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
