This is advertised as a 1957.
Can anybody tell me what this is?

It looks to be a refinished Combo 600 or 800. Well worth $400 IMHO.

What was funny? The Combo 800 or the $400 part?

The $400 part....
If it's not too misshapen from the re-fin, it could be
easily restored.
There are only a handful of these around....

The necks are clunky, but the 600/800 is very cool indeed.
If you pass on it, there are a bunch of forumites, me included, who would jump on it.
