New Vintage case interior?

Post by beatlenut »

Can anyone tell me what the interiors on the new Silver Vintage 6 string cases look like? Are they form fitting like the SKB? Do the "pockets" have lids, or are they open like the SKB? Finally, is the plush material "shiny" or is it just like the regular blue plush in the SKB?

I don't know what the inside of an SKB case looks like, but I can tell you the following:

-- My "new" 2002 vintage case (for a 360) is not form fitting, unlike my black one which is. The vintage case has a cover for the "tool box" and the lining appears to be shiny.
-- My original case (1966 for a 335)) which I recently sold was not form fitting. The inside was not shiny and there was no area at all for tools. I am not the original owner, so I don't know if it was removed, but I don't think so. "Thunderroad" owns it now.

I am now not certain how "vintage" my new case is, since it isn't much like my old one. It certainly is better, though, and I prefer it.
