Question About Epi Casino Pots/Knobs

Post by ccollette »

Greetings folks.. I realize this is a non-Rick related question, but here goes:

I'm wondering where to get reflector top bell-shaped knobs that will fit a Korean made Epi Casino. My understanding is that retail Gibson ones will not fit the Korean pots. Does anyone know an online supplier that sells the right sizing?

Have you tried Allparts?

The Gibson pots have a standard 1/4" shaft. The Asians are metric. One is knurled (Asian?) and one is smooth.

If you're moderately skilled you can replace the Asian pots with some good USA CTS and then get whatever knobs you like to fit them. I plan to do this on the Epi Dot that I just got eventually.

I got replacement knobs reflector bell types for my Epiphone Sheraton from www.guitarfetish.com & replaced the wiring pots, socket & switch with a kit from www.axesrus.com.

I don't think there was no difference in size between all of the parts as the original knobs still fitted the CTS pots before I received the new ones?

For us old guys, another good source for knobs is at Elderly.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm
