Fender Jaguar bass

Post by bugman »

I tried a Fender Jaguar bass today through a Fender Bassman 250 with 2 10's and was blown away by the sound. Anyone here using one of these new basses? I thinking this may be a future purchase.

My friend just bought one and I got to have a go on it. I was also really impressed.

I only find the basses lacking in the color department. Red or Black only? At least a 3TS or Sonic Blue would be more of a selling point for me.

It comes in a 3 tone sunburst too. You've just gotta get it from Japan.

It also comes in Vintage White with Tortoise Shell pickguard.

I've had mine almost a year now, it's virtually put my 4001 into retirement. Incredibly versatile bass. Fender should have thought of it years ago.

Will U.S. dealers order the one with the 3 tone burst?

No they can't at this point. Fender USA is not importing the 3 Tone Sunburst or the Vintage White Jaguar IV Bass.

If you want one, you have to order it from Japan. It's very easy to do.

You might see Fender USA announce at NAMM in January if not sooner, that they will be making these additional finishes available to North America.

That burst looks great--cant believe that they wouldnt offer that at the start for the U.S. I prefer it to the black or red but hopefully it will be offered here as well.

If/when the 3 tone sunburst becomes available in the USA, it'll be very, very hard to resist the temptation.

I too, like the white Jag Bass. Maybe in my future.
