My first rick...WOOO!!!

Post by prog_rockin_metal_man »

the 1978 4001 that I bought from Jim Glenn finally arrived yesterday. I would have posted this then but I was busy playing my new bass. This thing is the best bass I have ever played. Everything about this bass kicks major ***!!! the neck is so thin and easy to play and the string spacing is alot closer than my other bass which is really nice. The tone is obviously a million times better than my old bass. I just need to slap some rotos on this baby and she'll be perfect. I've been wanting a rick for 5 years and now I finally got one...I'm so freaking happy right now despite the fact that I'm sick as a dog. Now all I need is a decent amp.
"Rickenbacker!"( I shout it out whenever I spot one)

Hi Matt,
I'm so glad to hear she made it there safe and sound, and that Canadian customs didn't take too long to get her too you.

There's a brand new set of light gauge GHS Boomers in the pocket of the cover as well as a Black Strap. Let me know if you found them.

It is Union Jack Glo, I'm now down to ONLY Fireglo Rics ...

This is the 4001 that Matt now has.

That is a very cool Ric ... nice paint job and a good player as well ... a non S model with the binding removed ... Jaymi got the Union Jack paint job idea from me ... I was sort of joking and posted this picture and he liked the idea ...

It's a great player, and Jaymi left the fingerboard uncovered, the neck is slim and the action can be lowered as low as you wish ...
