when I got rid of all of my 4 string basses and got a bunch of 5 string basses some people thought I was a little crazy ... then I saw this guy here who has like a dozen 7 string basses ... suddenly I feel very mainstream ...

#2, 7, 8, and 11 should be put out of their misery. That thing with the vermillion flame running up the fretboard especially!

I think monstrosities like that are a sign of bass player insecurity. You don't see guitar players buying into this kind of nonsence. But hey, that's just my opinion.
