Case keys

Post by rich »

Does anyone have, or know where I can get, case keys for my '75 Precision bass case? Neither the keys for my Ric or Hofner cases work. I contacted Fender and they sent me two different types of keys and neither worked.

Thanks!! Rich

Rich, don't be suprised if this gets moved to the "The Others" section, where non-Rickenbacker matters are supposed to be posted.

Can you take a picture of the latch on the case? If it's a Cheney (sp?) lock, the keys are not universal.

Case keys?

Now that you mention it, they are the first thing to go. Starts when you are young.

Didn't think one had to lock up a Precision, DOH!

Good luck Rich.
I'm just happy to be here.

There is a Ric connection here, folks. I have a lefty 4001C64 that I have to fly with. The Ric fits into the Fender case which seems to be stiffer and more solid than the silver Ric case and I would like to lock it during transport.

Unless you have another idea.

Thanks, Rich
