I think I have a small problem..

My sister recently moved into the house I'm living in, and somehow, my keys to my 4003's case got lost during the event... I never locked my case before, but since everything was getting moved, and I wasn't sure who would be around, I locked the case..

...I went to Rickenbacker's website, but I didn't find anything out about ordering keys(obviously

Any advice would be appreciated

I never lock any of mine in the cases. I figured its just as easy to take the case as it is the guitar. So why would you not just take it both? That and, Well the only case I have with a lock I dont own the keys to. Not sure who does either.

I don't think there are very many different keys for those cases. Keys from another case will probably open yours. Maybe someone here has a spare they can send you.

I had a similar problem a while ago while I was still playing saxophone. My teacher at the time owned many, many sax cases, he kept all the keys on one big chain, and tried all of them. Lucky for me one worked !

So maybe take pics of your case and ask around or try a few different keys !

Be sure the chain is very sharp because maple can burn easily with a dull blade. You'll want a nice clean cut for glueing it back together!

If nothing else works, I have keys to my 360/12CW with a vintage case. I can mail you one (would only cost 39 cents in a regular envelope) and you could try it. Then, just mail it back.

Don't know if they use different keys for their locks, though.

I'm going to a couple of local stores I called tomorrow..

One store, Guitar Factory, looks promising, so it will be one of my first stops..the guy has a buncha keys off-hand.

Does anyone know if Ric sells keys?

P.S. - thanks for the replies everyone...Kevin, that was classic - I laughed my @ss off when I saw that picture.

If you had called customer service when you first had this problem, you'd have the key in hand now. We mail these out free all the time upon request.
