i found a guy selling a 4002 bridge, which he took off the bass when he bought it to replace with a badass (no, he no longer has the 4002).

i could use a new (to me) bridge on one of my 4001. are they identical?

yep the 4000, 4001, 4002, 4003, 3000, and 3001 all have the same tailpiece/bridge assembly ... with a few small variations through the years ...

I'd say those 4 should have a prety good idea about the tailpieces! ;)

I don't have a picture of the 'brdige' (Icelandic? Swedish? Image), but here's one of the bridge/tailpiece:

Icelandic? Swedish? no - Estonian. just kidding.

he sold it "just before" i tried to contact him. too bad, as he removed it as soon as he bought the bass, so there would not have been any 'lift'.
