4001c64 pickup differences
I couldn't seem to find an answer to this here: What's the difference between the c64 and c64s bridge pickups? I seem to recall that the bridge pickup on the c64s might be wound a little hotter than the c64, but I can't be sure.
I assume the toasters are the same.

Well, it's the same pickup, but the s model has the smaller more modern surround, since right before the wings over america tour, rickenbacker replaced Macca's horseshoe with a hi-gain. Sometimein the 80's or 90's Macca put in (or had someone else put in) a re-issue horseshoe, but didn't change the surround.
At least that's my guess.
So it's just the ring of metal that is different. So same pup, but different part.
Of course I could be wrong... anyone?
