Anyone know what happened to John's Strat?

Everyone knows George's was transformed into Rocky, but I'm not aware of what happened to John's Sonic Blue Strat...

Whereabouts unknown, I think.

The same is true for the Gretsch 6120 that he's seen playing during the Paperback Writer sessions (although some folks feel that the Gretsch found its way into George Harrison's collection of guitars).

I think that John kept the Strat and Yoko still has it.

Thanks guys! I have a body and neck I'm going to put together as a "partsocaster" replica of the original John/George Strats. Was just wondering what happened to the original..

As has been said above, unknown. In the Imagine movie, I believe George is playing a maple neck version. Maybe John's was damaged, and he had the neck replaced?

I just built this Duo-Sonic for my son because he loves the Strats in the Beatle Gear book.

Thanks Blazer!

Bill,

My brother has some paint left over if you need your Strat finished. Image

Seriously, Kevin? Cause I was thinking about having a bass refinished to Sonic Blue, and that shade looks spot on!

Yes, John.
My brother is the one that painted Ken S's white V63, that he sold a few weeks back. He's been trying to get out of the business, but may want to use up inventory.
Shoot me an email if you want contact info.

Kevin, yes, you scored major dad points there!

Thanks for the offer on the paint, but I think I'm ok--I found a CIJ Strat body in sonic blue--it's poly, but in mint shape.
