Rickenbackers in March '07 Bass Player Magazine

Post by highway_star »

There are two Rics in the March edition of Bass Player magazine. There's a photo of Squarepusher holding a Ric on page 44. The vintage bass article shows a '69 4001 that looks all original except for the bridge pickup.
If you think all is going well, you've obviously overlooked something.

Tom Petersson features in VG this month with a very cool '61 4000...

Tom is in there? I'll have to buy it. Any chance you can scan that pic, Wints?

I have to make sure I pick this one if just for the 69 4001.

The article with the "Retro-Rama" picture is actually a nice review of the 4001 and a mini-Ric history. See page 58. I'm looking at mine now, just received today.

I guess mine should arrive any time.
There was a nice RIC add in the last Bass Guitar Mag too.
I am good with my fingers and I can do it all night !

There are quite a few errors in the "Retro-Rama" article.

I usually find at least a couple errors in every Retro-Rama article.

Hi,
Two quick questions:
1)
Excuse my ignorance, bt what is VG (featuring TP) and is it available in the UK? (Plus, who's on the cover, so I can find it when I'm looking)?

Also who's on the cover of the Bass player issue with the Ric content?

Thanks!

VG is Vintage Guitar.

I'm not too sure I have ever seen it in the UK. Anyone?

SRV is on the cover this month.

Steve: Sorry, no scan here...
I could take a pic and try and send it to you though...

John Patitucci is on the cover of the March '07 Bass Player.
