Jacking my 330/12 pg
Hey gang. Got my stereo 330/12 back. I would like to put a hole in the pickguard for the second jack. 1) Will there be enough depth in the body to accomodate the plugged in cable? and 2) what is the best way to put the hole in the pg? Thanks, J

It is important to use a 90° angle plug in such a jack. One of the Hall Of Shames I saw on eBay was one of the 400 series v63 limited run reissues; the guitar had a substantial hole in the pickguard near the jack, and the seller included a picture of him playing it with a straight plug. I don't think that my 1967 Gibson ES335TDC has nany (if any) stress cracks around the jack (top of body location) because I nearly always used an angled plug, not a straight one.
