There aren't any problems with it... as a matter of fact, it looks and works like new! I'll probably regret this two days after shipping it off, but... I have my reasons.

No offense, but I could buy a brand new one from any number of dealers for quite a bit less than your BIN price unfortunately. I used to have one but then I got a Furman PQ3 that sounds better than the U5 I had. Needless to say I sold the U5 and kept the Furman; it has LM833 opamps and a top of the line Jensen line output transformer and the whole thing with the mods cost me about $125.00. Actually I paid $460.00 for my U5 new.
Good luck on the auction, it is nice with the rack ears, I didn't have those.
Perhaps you can offer it to your Rickenbackers associates for a more reasonable price, kind of like family, you know.
I'll keep that idea in mind... it'd be the decent thing to do.
As for the price... no offense taken! I just set a price based on the point of view that I paid $575 for the unit new, then bought the SKB and the rack ears for it... it's gig-ready... no additional expense required. If it doesn't sell, well... your point will have been made!
