New Arrival

Post by longboard_ric »

My latest acquisition, a 620/6 AFG, arrived late yesterday in perfect condition, despite Melbourne's 37C temperature. First impressions were that it was a little more ambered than I expected and looks magnificent. The build quality and finish are flawless and it is one of the most playable guitars I have ever laid hands on. To say I am ecstatic about it is an understatement. I well and truly have RAS now !!!

To John Hall and his staff, your craftsmanship and quality are to be commended.

Thanks to Darren Trott for his expert assistance.

Here are some pics :

Since I hate to use the word jazzed anymore...... It is so neat to see how Ricked people are when they get their Rick!

I'm happy for ya man! Cool, well I wanted to say axe, but is frowned on in some camps, so I'll just say cool Rick man!

Beautiful, congrats! I saw one of these in a shop up in NYC, it's a fantastic finish for that body.

Very nice. Great photos, you captured the color well (on my monitor anyway).

I've got the exact same one on order. Thanks for the preview! Just stunning!

Thanks for your kind comments everyone. The pics are very close to the actual color, I used only natural light as flash tends to wash everything out, but you still have to see it in the flesh to fully appreciate it. As with anything Ric you just cannot fail to be impressed.

Greg, I can't say what the next Ric will be, but I will be getting a little Blues Junior soon, and there is a new surfboard on the list as well.

Great 620, Shane! You're right the color does seem little ambered, especially on the binding. I like it - it's a beautiful example of fireglo! Congratulations!

Oh, I see, it's because it's AFG!
