Looking for a good effects unit for vocals
Hello fellow gurus. I am still using good old analog equipment to record and mix my music. I have long been searching for an excellent multi-effects unit, with sweet reverb effects. I am willing to spend the big bucks (> $1K) if I thought it was worth it. I hate it when reverb gives trailing artifacts, or when ess's splatter all over the place. I am looking for that sweet, saucy, transparent sort of reverb, that dissipates into nothingness. I have used the Lexicon MPX-1, but honestly, none of the presets gave me what I was looking for. If you know what I am talking about, and have some experience to share, I am all ears !

Steve, I would recommend the TC Electronics M2000. It is superb quality & IMO, better quality than an MPX1 (I have both units). It doesn't have the range of FX that many have, but what it does, it does very well indeed. Reverbs are really superb & much smoother than the MPX1.
Don't get me wrong, the MPX1 is a good little unit & I use it all the time, but the M2000 is my main reverb.

'Rickenbacker'...what a name! After all these years, it still thrills me.
Thanks Tony. What about the TC Electronic M-One ? It is less expensive, but it looks like it has the same number of effects, and it looks easy to use. Any experience with this unit ? The reason I am asking is that I can get the M-One on-line, and return it if I don't like it.
