DICK DALE SELLS OUT?!?!

Post by jingle_jangle »

Oh, no, Mister Bill...

DD has signed on at...Minarik!

He now plays one of those guitars with the tuned flame-tips.

"Like holding a Salvador Dahli" (sic).

Uh-huh.

The antithesis of a Rick, IMHO!

Have some people no shame?

So, that's what they call "FireGlo"? Image

I thought that I saw Dick and his son playing these at NAMM a few years back. I thought they were ugly then too.....

"Like holding a Salvador Dahli"...Bet it feels more like holding a rake.

From Guitar Player
"Its few cosmetic glitches aside, the Inferno offers unforgettable looks, stunning sounds, and custom-style-for-low-bucks value. This sonically versatile, 100 percent rock and roll guitar is totally deserving of an Editors' Pick Award."
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

So the Editor gives Minarik a Pick as an Award?

About all it's worth, IMO........... Image

The guitar's design is a 'cosmetic glitch'?

Just another reason why I don't bother reading Guitar Player. Image

When it comes to the Guitar Player review, it would seem that Miserlou loves company.

HAR!!!!

Editors pick their noses and come up with a Minarik Inferno.

The low-buck Minarik booth at NAMM had some interesting (even for NAMM) characters hanging out. One of the salesmen--a loudish loutish guy in his mid-thirties in a three-piece suit and bow tie (Tucker Carlson moonlights?) was actually delivering the line about how the flame tips were tuned for best resonance!!!

I nearly lost my milk shake through my nose. Ugh.

I saw Dick last Winter. He was playing his Strat.

Endorsements are nothing new....I'm still waiting! Dick has a head for business and making a $..on the other hand I asked him if he might write some lines for our cd if we did some of his material on it..yep..for free....btw that is an ugly guitar..gonna need a custom stand..
