Interesting stuff! I'd love to hear his CD, and to buy it! Wonder about his singing capasity, and also curious about his songwriting skills, guitar playing a.s.o. Absolutely a must-have!! But do I have to call him personally to get this in order, or is there other ways?
Did anyone hear it? Their opinion, please!

listened to a couple of tracks not too bad a sound plays guitar on riders in the sky.

Never thought he fitted in with The Searchers if I am honest,only saw him play with them on two occasions as I recall, one I covered in an article.

Does look like there is only a contact phone number for his CD-R Einar and depends how old site is. Nice to read about him though Peter. Tim Viney did a feature on him some while back, so if Tim has an address for you Einar, no doubt he will comment.

Roy: I have attempted to contact John Blunt on a number of occasions but so far no luck. While he was of another generation, and I concur that he did not fit in, John still has a story to tell of his days with The Searchers and I would dearly love to have him tell it!

If I remember right Keith Moon was his idol. On a purely technical basis, he may have been the best drummer they ever had though I agree the as far as style and image-wise goes Johnny probably didn't fit in. I understand there is at least one Beat Club appearence from 1968 with him in the band and I would love to see it.

Thank you Roy... hmmm, this guy's really lucky...
BTW, why do everybody think he did not 'fit in'? What are the reasons? He looked funny and did his job pretty well so what was wrong? The 'democracy' was over, right, and he was 'just an employee', like Billy Adamson - so was this the reason why he left or was he just 'pulled out', as somebody said?
And i can't really understand Peter's comment about 'another generation'. Spencer and Eddie are of another generation too (to put it mildly) but looks like they do fit in...

Why does every other person call him Johnny nowadays? As a Searcher, I never knew him as anything but John. What's next? Johnny McNally?

Probably because his stage name is now Johnny B Good (formerly of The Searchers).

OK.., I'll probably buy that explanation. I thought maybe the rebaptism was due to not having any confusion with two Johns in the group. THAT would be silly! Imagine Micky Taylor of the Rolling Stones! Or Donny Felder of the Eagles!

Anybody who know the tricks needed to get hold on Johnny B Good's (formerly of the Searchers) CD?

I see he covers "Love potion no.9". How many configurations of this song do we then have in the Searchers family?
