Updates on when the HS p'up is goin'2b4sale again?
As some of you know I was in Australia last half year, so I missed out on pretty much every Ric related news, because I wasn't much on the Internet.
In the last half year, were there any new updates on when the HorseShoe pickup is going to be for sale again?

This one went for $725.00 BIN on April 20th for an old Lap Steel HS.
At this rate, there will not be too many of the old Lap Steels left! More and more, they are getting gutted for their HS pickups.
I said this once before, half jokingly, but not anymore. You are probably better off buying a used C64, pulling the HS and re-selling the entire bass wiht a High Gain installed. I've seen them bring $1800.00 +/- w/o the HS!

Jeff,
That borders on Sacrilege!
I'd trade a new Hi-gain ANY DAY for a HS.
While I appreciate the weight factor, to me, nothing feels or sounds as good as a HS.
I know, I know, most guys say there no difference, but to me, imagined or not, NOTHING sounds as good as a HS & toaster combo!

I think they sound really good but being right in the middle of the plucking range cuts out a lot of sounds. Too bassy near the neck and too trebly next to the bridge. I found them very cumbersome and took the shoes off my V-63's when I owned them, they sounded thinner and noisier with the shoes off.
