Her she is;

100% factory original from 2004.

I think that I way over paid for it, but it may be the only one made in 04.
Who knows, I love it….

Into the vault where she will stay

Well DAVE, as a big spender who recently spent the huge sum of $400 for Mark's 69, I daresay that you probably broke the bank on this one.

So is it the only extant JG Lemmy that there is? Image

Or is is the long-rumored 4003 DV bass prototype that never saw the light of day? (Darth Vader hologram cut into the body of course) Image

So, what's the story? VP option - any other things we should be looking for? More closeups?

The binding looks awkward in that photo, those little black pieces cutting in and out. Seems odd Dave. Looks like you got taken again.

Some guy probably tried to explain it as checkerboard binding.

Ah, so is this one of the "fictional" Japanese-ordered checker-bound 4003 basses? Nice catch! So most were Fireglo then, and this the only Jetglo?

I am the second owner. It was sold new in PA well after the 2003 time line of the rumored ones that went overseas.

I really do not know the full story behind it other than I know that it is 100% stock, and it resided here in PA since new.

To be clear, when I stated "but it may be the only one made in 04"; according to Bjorn's site, the rumored overseas shipment was in 03.

"...one of the "fictional" Japanese-ordered checker-bound 4003 basses? "

From the photos I've seen the Japanese ordered ones had full-length inlays. My memory may be wrong though...

"...Japanese ordered ones had full-length inlays."

Checked the archives, no they didn't. I must have been thinking about the guitars, which certainly did...!
