IIRC, he posted not so long ago... but doesn't visit as often as he used to.

He posted just recently. I don't think he has gone anywhere. He's a great guy and the source of many quips that are hilarious. I recall that he got a new job a while back and that was consuming a lot of his time.

You mean there's now another gamelan orchestra in Denver?

Well, from what I know of the subject, Gamelans's a lot of work too but I am quite sure he picked a 9-5 job as well. Hopefully he'll stop by to "enlighten" us.

Later that same fiscal year...

Yes, still above the ground...it's a long story, but I've just gotten done working myself down to nothin' on a project from hell (which will be standing in the Herman Miller space at the "Neocon 2007" Interior Design trade fair in Chicago for the next week and then thrown in a dumpster, I guess...can ya believe it? "NEOCON"!...)

And, I've been 'scapegoated' for contributing to the wild cost overruns (caused mostly by the insanely low bid) and was fired the instant the last piece was loaded on the truck. Ahh, I said it was a long story...too long for this venue, I fear, and it would almost certainly involve defaming my right-wing Republican boss publicly, which we wouldn't want to do, my Samoan attorney reminds me...

So that's it from me for now...for the next few days, I'll be trying to catch up on things I've had to let slide for the sake of the deadline. First and foremost will be complying with a city notice of violating the code for height of weeds on one's front yard...

(Jeff, I'll e-mail you as soon as the dust settles and my blood pressure returns to normal...)
I didn't get where I am today by being on time...

Knew you would, Dr. JJ...

Coulda got paid better, I s'pose, but I'm out of debt: oh, what a feeling...they were charging my time to the client at four times what they were paying me, in other words: the 'Industry Standard'...

I'm an Autocad Mofo compared to where I was a year ago, for what that's worth...and I can program a CNC now, too...just don't know if I want to spend 8 to 12 hours a day around screaming rage-oholics. Gettin' a little too old for this sort of thing...

I wrote a long and hilarious message and got timed out and disconnected from the 'net before I could post it...I think I may have said too many a*teri*ked swears, and pegged Peter's a*teri*k meter...

Geez, why would I wanna move to SF, Paul? (Well okay, they do have the best or second-best gamelan in the country, depending on who you ask...)

It's time for another episode of "What's My Dharma?"...
