There's a thread about them in another section too but whatever. The more SK threads the better.
Carrie only played a rick for one album and subsequent tour (The Hot Rock ('98-99) otherwise she rocks the SG so she can do windmills. She's the best.
anyways, a nice vid from that tour:

I never caught onto SK. I know they are rockers but I am not fond of the voice of the lead singer.
I saw them open for Pearl Jam in 2003, and they also joined PJ for the encore. I have the CD of the show, and cannot bear to listen to the version of "Rockin' In The Free World" where the SK girl sang lead on a few verses.
I should say that I have never heard any of SK's studio work, so maybe that comes across better.

Jumpers is another good tune.

Plus five minus five!
I love Jumpers. I've shed a tear or two listening to that song. It's so sad. It's tragic. But it's not over the top. It's not an anti suicide song. In fact, they make this jumpers decision feel justified. Even the last line of the song - "Four seconds was the longest wait" , this person, even while plummeting of the golden gate bridge, could not wait until he/she hit the ground. It's just a different take. and I like it.

Fair enough Glenn. To be fair on my side, I did go and listen to these SK videos, to hear the studio sound a little. I do like the energy of SK, but still am not crazy about the voices. I do like Eddie Vedder's (PJ vocalist) voice alot.
Getting off on a tangent, but I think that my favorite sounding voice in a "current" rock band in Brian Vander Ark of The Verve Pipe (now a solo artist, and a pretty goos song writer).
