He's an interesting bloke. Smart enough to use ebay, but not smart enough to upgrade his computer equipment so he could sell easier on ebay.

No Rickenbacker copy on the website he cites either. Scam or a discontinued model? Who knows?

It appears, if you look at his previous sells, the spelling abortions are the same. He has favorable feedback which gives him some credence. It's possible he has no clue as to what he is selling this time around.

This is the model he is selling, if indeed the auction is even legit in the first place:

I like how the company tries to convince us that their tilted headstock and patented string retaining system give the guitar more sustain.

The one that scared me was the black purported 66 Ric with no Trussrod cover and lot of other little things missing like the Case.
Reminds me of the poor fella who thought he bought a 325 but got a very beat 350 and he got stuck with it in spite of Ebay's supposed stand on crooks.

Re: This "First Act" guitar:

Isn't it intriguing how all the comfortable, classic shapes for electric guitars seem to have been already taken?

Another butt-ugly budget box.

Those higher end First ACt guitars play and sound fantastic though, I notice we're quick to dismiss them though, maybe because of their name...

OR maybe because companies copying designs are bashed, and the ones who try original designs are bashed... wow...

"OR maybe because companies copying designs are bashed, and the ones who try original designs are bashed... wow..."

Only if their "original" designs are butt-ugly...

My remark re: design was with the intention of wondering how a very few designs still look good, and most recent design "breakthroughs" or even trial balloons still look uncomfortable to me, at least...

I assume (though do not know) if First Act is Walmart's brand that also manufactures band instruments, but that First Act has been known to make flutes that are a half inch too short and will never play in tune.
