1988 4003 knobs

Post by rickaddict »

Just curious: I have a 1988 4003 that has knobs that are a little different than all of my other Rick basses. The little enamel indicator dot is red on the volume knobs and yellow on the tone knobs. They look original. If not, the mod was very well done.

The knobs on my '87 4003's and my '89 4003S5 have the normal white dots.

Has anybody else with an '88 experienced this unusual phenomenon?
