Help with saddle

Post by longhouse »

In an earlier post I mentioned how I broke my high E string during a performance. The reason this string broke is that it is forever popping out of the groove on the saddle, invariably being over-stressed and weakenend at the point of contact. It has happened since I first owned the guitar (1997SPC/VB). I don't have the necessary files to deepen the string groove. Image

Suppose I could take it to Willcutt for an adjustment. Any advice?

I'm still wondering whether you have sufficient break angle from the bridge to the tailpiece. Can you post a picture?
