Should I buy another one?

Post by ozover50 »

I'm a sick puppy!! I already have 2 350v63s - MID and Monty Brown - both beautiful and I've been offered another. This one's a bit different, though..... it's a Jetglo 350/12v63!

It's been hanging on the wall at my 'local' for nearly 12 months and I've always drooled every time I walked in. The ticket price has always turned me off but last night I had a really good play of it and it's brilliant..... sooooo much slicker, softer and easier than my 660/12!! So I jokingly told them I'd buy it if they took 2 grand off it.

Well, stock take time is only a week away and guess what? They offered me $1800 off - making it the equivalent of USD$2550 with no outrageous shipping and tax charges!

Should I or shouldn't I? Image

Hmm, let's see: you can afford it, you can always sell it if the financial outlook changes, and you Want It.

Duh, Howard! Image

Of course, do you really think anyone on this forum is going to cure you of your GAS problem?

In the US $2550 is prolly a bit on the high side but it depends how much you want it. (Offer $2400)

Agreed, Dan but the list on this one is US $4000 - freight costs, distributor and dealer margins, etc are killers. In fact the current list is $4285!

Yes, Mark..... probably a silly question, eh? I think I might have to offload a few though - the 660/12, 360/6, 1997 and 650D are all closet queens.

Howard, on one hand you don't want a black guitar, you need to see the grain! On the other hand, buy it!!!

There, does that help?

BUY IT AITCH!! That is a good price for your area. Then sell me the 660/12 Image

I have a 350v63 MID also, and I love it.

Hmm, but I don't have a 650D at all either, come to think of it...

Thanks, Pete....... you are always so logical about these things. Image Hmmmm.... 7:50am and I already feel like a beer.... see what ya do to me???

Elys, I fear that the asking price on both of those would be well above the odds in your neck of the woods.

My vote says GET IT! You've been talking about selling that 1997 for a while....time to swap out one you don't really reach for with one that you do.
