Through To The Other Side

Post by admin »

It was very nice to see these posts come through after some gentle tweaking this morning.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

Peter, I never had any problem accessing the Basses area this morning, either on the back side of the front side of the change. So why did Discus Pro need tweaking at all, gentle or otherwise?

Elys: Perhaps "tweaking" is hyperbole. It was simply a matter of changing some permissions. Quite a few actually.

For a few minutes there, I could access the bass forum. I figured Peter was doing some maintenance or tweaking.

I read the title of this thread, and thought somebody had died!

In some sense, Kris, it's kinda like that. The forum has "died" as an open community & "reborn" as a closed one, but since i am permanently "logged in", i haven't noticed the change until i read the additional info at the bottom of the page. When logged out, it looks kinda... desert, and it'd probably take time to get used to.

I think it's a good idea, just to help keep some of the unscrupulous people from seeing more personal information.

I thought it was a Doors reference, but then I remembered they didn't have a bassist, then remembered that they did later, but by then I had read the tread so knew I was completely off track...

They never did have one as a member but had studio people play right from the first album for ex. Back Door Man had a bass player on it, they had the best too.
