After discussion it has been decided that perhaps restricting this forum to mainly British acts it has become too limiting.

Therefore to encourage a wider audience let's have your thought on any act, no matter where from, though essentially 60's even late 50's based.

That is not to say no discussions on 70's acts onwards but I would like to keep it to the original theme if possible, but obviously many acts who first came to prominence in 60's are still playing today and in some cases their popularity increased in the 70's even 80's.

All contributions welcome

Brian just felt you and Peter deserved some credit for your input, other things discussed remain private.

Bob

It was never totally restricted to British acts though that was the original forum theme.

You are probably, in fact certainly I would say correct about WDR64, as I took it from same CD, perhaps I ought to write to Bogle and Wilson and tell'em I want a refund!

I'm just teasing you Roy. Thanks for being a great sport and officially opening the section up to North American acts.

There's a lot of stuff to cover from the real early acts that have influenced musicians around the world. Acts like Howling Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Booker T and The MGS, The Ventures and so on right up to the summer of love with bands like Jefferson Airplane, Canned Heat and the Grateful Dead to name a very few.

I for one am looking forward to some lively discussion and some great memories being shared.

Damned dictionary... it never gives one exact translation, so i'm now wondering where those poor Aussie garage bands would be passed on... still, looks like my favourite AG clip was removed from youtube... i mean, Bennett's version of the song is cool, but that one was simply hee-la-rious. Image
Ehm, sorry for an offtopic.
