One or Two truss rods?

Post by joepee »

I own a 325c58MG an always figured it had one truss rod. I've never been one to tinker with that beautiful golden TRC.

Do only 12 strings have two truss rods? Or do other Ric 6 strings have two TRCs also?

With the exception of some early ones, all Ricks have two truss rods.

Really! I guess that is to make it vintage correct, right?

I think so. I can't speak for the others in the V series, but it surprised me when I first went to adjust the rod(s). I remember looking online and reading about it, also.

I think John Hall said the c series is period correct, except the truss rods, they have 2. This makes them vintage correct, but with one modern upgrade that makes them better, while retaining vintage look and feel.

Thats what he said about the 360/12c63 anyhow

The 325-12 I had that was made in mid 80s had only 1 truss rod; until then, I'd never seen a Rick with only 1...

All the models made in the 50's (except the Bass) had 1 truss rod.
