Want to swap 4004 hardware?

Post by jps »

Anybody has chrome hardware who would like to swap for gold hardware? The only parts that really can't be swapped for obvious reasons are the jack plate and it's mounting screws. Otherwise any thing that is chrome plated I will swap with my gold parts as a complete set.

Jeffrey:

Is your 4004cII mapleglo? ... if it is try black hardware ... that would look cool ...

I have a 4004L chrome bridge that I'm not using ... it is 10 years old and shows a little wear ... you can buy the strap buttons, knobs, and tuners from Mike Parks or somebody else ...

I'm not a fan of gold hardware either ...

Soon after I receive my 4004Cii5 I'll be replacing the gold hardware with chrome, or black, or that new satin chrome hardware.
JETGLO should officially be renamed JETGLO ROCKS! :-)

Jeff,

My 4004Cii is MG. The gold looks good but I never was a fan of gold hardware personally. Your offer is appealing although it would be nice to change all the hardware at once.

By the way, you are into 5 string basses; I have a virtually brand new Hipshot A Style 5 string bridge available, interested?

Yes I do love the five string models ... I have a whole box full of bridges ... 20 or 30 ... send me a picture ... also .. what is the string spacing ... I like the between 2 3/8" and 2 5/8" ...

A nice bridge on a 4004 would be a schaller ... it would look similar to the stock one and it has the roller saddles and nice adjustment features.

The Hipshot ranges from 2 5/8" to 2 15/16". I e-mailed you pics.
