Markbass amp ordered

Post by chrisdski »

I ordered a Markbass LM2 from the nearest GC that carried it. Should be here in a day or two. $599 list US, plus $15 to ship. Have an outdoor festival gig in 2 weeks, so looking forward to trying it. Will be running it thru an Avatar 112, 4 ohm, so I will get the power. Previously used the behringer 350 head. Will let you all know my impressions.

Let us know how you like it. That's pretty cheap shipping.

+1 on the Markbass, you should be very pleased. Go to the Ernie Ball Forum and search in the bass section and you will see a lot of very satisfied Markbass users.

OK, loving the Markbass. Granted, I went from a Behringer to a Markbass. Clean is the word I would use for the tone of this amp. I play electric bass and acoustic upright bass in a "new acoustic/americana" band. Even the band members noticed the change in tone. I played at an outdoor festival last weekend and it was more than adequate for sound re-enforcement. I am running it thru an Avatar 112 4ohm cab. YMMV but I am very happy with the amp as a mid level priced amp.

It also competes quite favorably againt much higher priced boutique amps, such as Walter Woods and Epifani, to name just two such amps.
