The Editors on Jay Leno Show in U.S. (two Rics)

Post by rickboy88 »

I got home late tonight and saw the end of the Editors performance on the Jay Leno "Tonight" show here in the U.S. It was was nice to see two jetglo Ric guitar bookends on either side of the stage.
That was the first time I'd seen two on Jay Leno since Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers were on there.

I happened to catch it too when I tuned in for Conan a little early. Not my style of music but they did sound pretty good.

Cool look with the Rickenbackers. I like some of their songs, but they can be a bit one-dimensional sound-wise. Catchy and powerful stuff for a song or two though. I don't care for "Smokers Outside the Hospital Doors"-too whiny-sounding vocally. The singer's a bit of a whiner, as if he's never had a happy day in his life.

I wish I could get just one other guy in the band to play a Rickenbacker. I let them try mine out, but no bites yet.
There is no reason to ever be bored.

...why yes, I suppose I do have a double bound guitar fetish...
