Rick sighting on TV
Happened upon the last part of the Ellen Degeneres show, Friday, I think, and she had Cindy Lauper on. At the end of the show, she did a live performance of "Girls Just Want To Have Fun" and the bassist appeared to have a Rick CS.
I like to see "live" performances on TV and always look to see what equipment is being used. It was great to see a Rick for a change, rather than the endless stream of P basses and unidentifiable active "bass of the month" chunks of wood.

What about the endless stream of P-basses? I own a P-bass too - an Iron Maiden/Steve Harris signature bass. Altough completly different from a Ric a nice bass!!!! In the latest video from "the Outcast" is a JG 4001 or 4003 - but basicly I hate this sort of music.......sorry.
Beside owning 14 guitars and basses and my own homestudio, what do I want more?

Indeed Marc, it's different than normal P-basses. I've owned a lot P-basses, but this one has a far more substantional neck. The added woodmass of the neck, with the Quarter Pounder SD's and the BadAss II bridge make it for the sound I guess. I've strung mine, like all my other basses and guitars with Elixer Strings.
The Iron Maiden P-bass is so different opposed to my 4003, playing as well as the sound, but thats part of the fun. The P-Bass never leaves home, it stays in my little private Iron Maiden/Steve Harris shrine. (NO joking!!!).
BTW: I'm going to see Iron Maiden next saturday in Rotterdam/The Netherlands!!! Always nice to see an excellent band, and even better bassplayer.
