I loved the Celestions that were in my old Trace Elliot Mk1 4x10 (this was before they ported them or even covered the cabs - which were painted - and this is WELL before they started with the Kevlar 10s, which I don't care for). That was the best sounding cab for my Rics that I've ever played. Wish I still had it/could still carry it!

Whatever size/make...make sure you know that it's a LONG coil version.

Eminence are one of the best around. In the past I also used JBL and more recently, Cerwin Vega, all long-coil with stiff cast basket structures and lots of magnet.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and sit in with the band whenever you can, to keep your chops up!

I also like Eminence, the mid 70's and later SVT's used them. Why do you want to wire a cab for 16 ohms? How many speakers are in it and if you are using a low wattage amp I wouldn't get speakers with a high wattage rating as they are stiffer than lower wattage speakers and don't go as deep all things being equal.
