Just to say hello, I see this forum as taking on any topic that is blues related. From writing, to playing, to learning the roots. One aspect that intrigues me is to look at the influence of the blues on today's popular music. there was a thread here a while back, where someone helped to point out some of the finer points about the confluence of European and black music that happened in the south. I will start a thread on that later, I gotta get ready for work. I hope this will bring us blues fans out of the woodwork here at RR. We now have a little room in our "home'!

Charly, I will keep the kettle on and the fire stoked for those who stop by to chat. Glad to see you've got your mojo workin'.

I grew up a middle class kid from suburbia. Needless to say, I feel a special connection to the blues and I look forward to chatting here. Thanks for the new 'room!

Yeah, but you can't play blues on a Rickenbacker, though.

(I thought I'd get that over and done with early  )

Great stuff, Charly!

Good, I can bring my seegars in (I'll share) And Barkeep, I'll have a Newcastle Ale, please.

Does the house band take requests? I'd like to hear "Little Red Rooster."

This is a very nice touch to the RRF. The Blues has afforded me to make a living in some way over the last 23 years and is a subject very near and dear to my heart. Many congrats to Peter for bringing this in and to Charly on the new position! I've got some pretty good stories that I can share.
