Sing to me Ric song
Luminous twelve-string chiming,
Shimmers like dawn's light.

Knocking at the door
Hear it speeding up and down
Must be the drummer

My eardrums are burning
From that extremely loud volume that emits forth
Must be the guitarist.

Haiku is made up of seventeen syllables, five in the first line, seven in the second, and five in the third. There was another thread where I made up my first Haiku, then I looked up Haiku and found out what it's construction was; I found out my first attempt was incorrect. that is part of the challenge, to do the 5-7-5 construction of these!

Music calls out to me
Follows me into my dreams

That's terrific, Bill!
Brings to mind the song I just wrote a couple of weeks ago about "The Song of My Dreams..." I'm in the process of tweaking my demo recording of it, and hopefully will have a "postable" rendition of it soon!

What are you talking about?
Damn selfish six string.

Does it count extra if they rhyme?
I woke up today (or, in keeping with the theme but not the rhyme,"Woke up this mornin")
Got the blues so I will play
They will go away.

Gleaned from Cool Hand Luke:
I can eat fifty eggs... Burp!
A night in the box.

I was so hungry.
Somebody ate all my food.
Must be a punker.
Woke up in the night.
Someone was howling in dark.
Must be a bluesman.
My head was throbbing.
Someone could not hit a note.
Must be a pop-star.
