Ewwwww... This time — imho — it's hard to say which one is worse... but it's only my opinion, this song has always been "a rain that spoiled the party" to me...
Back to the topic, though — my vote would be 4, 3, 1, 2.

Here's my vote in order of preference 4,2,1 and 3. #4 barely edged out #2 btw. I really like the arrangement and the feel of #4 that's why it got my top pick. #2 however is probably the version that I know the best.

For me, the way version 4 keeps changing beats is distracting. I'll have to go with 2, 1, 3, 4.

Plenty of varying opinions again, I see! My vote is:
1, 2, 4, 3
Have to admit I didn't like 3 or 4 at all. 2 is the version I know best, but I definitely liked 1 the best of all of them.

2 is the version I know best
I have to agree.

If I were producing the song, I would match the arrangement of # 1 with the lead vocals of # 4. However, since that's not one of the four choices, I'd select #2, #1, #4, #3.

It's 2, 1, 4 and 3 for me.
I really like the arrangement of the version number 1. And I love the version number 2. It's a classic!
Happy Thanksgivings to all, by the way.

Here's my order:
1. Very nice voice, sounds like a modern recording done retro.
2. Another great version of which I'm very familiar with, like this band a lot
3. Again don't know who it is but another great version, the music sounds like Buddy Holly solo stuff, especially the violins.
4. Don't like this one so much.

I hard a hard timer picking between the first three and do know which one is the original hit version, was surprised to not find the writer's version here though. I think I know who #4 is and usually like his stuff with another singer, but did not like this version.

2,1,4,3 for me Roy.
Life, as with music, often requires one to let go of the melody and listen to the rhythm

My vote

1. 2
2. 3
3. 1
4. 4

Close gap between v. 2 and v.3- thinking singer on v. 3 struggles with a strained voice. Too much arrangement on v. 1, whilst v. 4 almoust a "bad taste" version!

I thought The Righteous Bros. version it was a Bill Medley solo record or something, does not fit his voice at all.
