This Will Be Interesting....

One the rarest of the 60's Ric bass out there. This one has been discussed at the RIC forum, has lost a lot of originality, but still should be interesting to view $$$ wise.

Shame he had to go JG to cover the rout, as an original MG refin would surely appeal to the McCartney fans wanting a true 60's 4001S/RM199.

Hey Wints,

I was just looking at it too, what do you think is a fair price for this piece?

Thanks John,

I'll head to the "For Sale" section!

Tony....that's a tough one. Not the best color choice, and with very little originality here. I'd be hard pressed to call this one...

Admittedly, this beauty has come a long way by the seller's description, but I'll bet dollars to donuts that that nice refinish is in nitro.

Ok, I understand Wints....I'm just THINKING about making a run at it, I can't stand Jetglo.......and wondering what it would cost to have it brought back to "life" with a correct refin...in Chris Squire Devon Cream that is! Now THAT would make an excellent CS project!

I can only imagine that trying to find the original electronics, pickup and bridge will be like looking for a needle in a hay stack. I couldn't find parts for my '74, I can only imagine just how difficult it will be trying to find the original parts!

Not to mention, I'd have to sell 1/2 of my small collection to make a run at it, but Janey DIDN'T say no......YET. I just got one of THOSE looks....
