The Who's New DVD

Post by leesh »

Has anyone picked this up? I bought a copy for myself and a buddy and I think it's really well done. I learned a lot of stuff about The Who that I didn't know before...but there wasn't that much gear content/details, etc (Rickenbacker or others). Some of Pete's interviews are shot in front of one of his smashed-up Ricks on the wall.

I downloaded the TV version and watched it. It was very cool. I was glad to see them talk more about Tommy, Quadrophenia, and the early stuff and less time on Who's Next. I haven't purchased the DVD yet, just in case someone got it for me for x-mas, but if noone did I definitely will purchase it.

I got a copy ,it's great
but i cringe everytime i see Pete throw his Rick over the amps

Some of the early stuff is great though and that 360/12 with the F hole,
it almost looks identicle to the one on page 191 of Richard Smiths book 8)

But alas, i'm sure it was one of the first to die :(

If it's the one playing on MTVHD, it's great.
