Byrds fan gets his dream Ric

A big Byrds fan gets the present he's always wanted... a 370/12RM.

Too bad the guy isn't a member of this forum, he could tell us how good the feeling was and how the Ric sounds!

It truly is a good thing when your wife or girlfriend lets you (or even buys you) a Ric. I know my (not) girlfriend would never do such a nice thing. She did like my 660/12TP, though. But my dad got that one for me...

I somehow think we ALL know that feeling!!! Would have loved to have been there! Thank goodness for youtube and the internet!!
Reminds me of when i saw this on the "bay",....
Long service reward!!
Long service reward!!
I showed it to my wife, not even contemplating a purchase,to which she replied how much she loved the color! On telling her it was a 12 string, she came back with.."that'd be a nice reward for your long service".....(i'd just left my job of 12 years and received a fairly substantial payout).
Needless to say that before i passed out with excitement,i called my good friend Trotty, who made all the arrangements and secured the guitar for me! Joey Vasco played his part, along with Howard Bishop and the rest is Aussie Rickenbacker history!!!!
If memory serves me correctly, 3 rickenbackers were purchased that day,and all made the trek to Melbourne!

Thanks, Jake. That was great - David obviously was stunned and appreciated the Rick. Dang, I can hardly see to type....
