325C64 Vs 325V63 - what are the differences?

Post by Spanky(Andy) »

Hello and apologies for my continued Rickenbacker 325 questions.

Could anyone please inform me what the differences between the 325C64 and the 325V63 models are?

I understand that the 325C64 is an exact replica of JWL's 325 "Miami" guitar and is still in production, but are there any detail differences between the C64 and the V63?

Interestingly, the C64 gets higher ratings on Harmony Central than the V63 does. Any idea why?

Thanks again for your patience.

Regards

Andy, don't know if you're still looking, but there's v63 on the 'bay this morning. Link in Rics for Sale.

There are a lot of hidden differences in body bracing, neck profile, and hardware details. Play both and you'll see. I love 'em both.

It's like the v59 vs. C58, but less so. Those two, now, are night and day!

I suppose the alder is a bit darker than the maple...
